2 am on a summer’s night

Summer gave away Its tears to water Which failed to bring life Into broken spaces Of existence   I desire my heart to carry meaning into space To pump more than just longings unmet Rather to inspire a greater loveliness What becomes of damaged nerve endings Weathered by storms of disappointments What a wish for…

Summer gave away

Its tears to water

Which failed to bring life

Into broken spaces

Of existence

I desire my heart to carry meaning into space

To pump more than just longings unmet

Rather to inspire a greater loveliness

What becomes of damaged nerve endings

Weathered by storms of disappointments

What a wish for the sun to bloom in my chest

And connect my breath to that of another

When the hour has not grown late

Oddness in embedded in distain

For love is silence greatest expectation

What if the call is never answered

And loneliness is eternity and

I am trapped in her chambers
